Elements Ready-To-Clean Environmentally Responsible Cleaning Products
Dan Dillon: Tell me why your doing these new “ready to clean” lines. who buys them? And why did you develop them?
Ben Gable: The ready-to-use products are developed for people who don’t want to spend money on an expensive dilution control system but they don’t want to go with glow glove method of a concentrated cleaner. Just something they can go and grab and clean with. They were developed based on our green seal certified concentrated cleaners. We have five of them in the line:
Restroom Cleaner
All Surface Cleaner
Glass Cleaner
Super Duty Degreaser
Peroxide Power Cleaner
All five of the products have taken the concentrates, for example the Organic Acid Restroom Cleaner - we’ve taken the concentrated version made it ready-to-use and put it in this bottle so it’s a grab and go product.
Dan Dillon: So I don’t have to dilute this?
Ben Gable: There’s no diluting required.
Dan Dillon: Does it comes with a trigger spray?
Ben Gable: It comes with a trigger spray.
Dan Dillon: So I don’t have any loose caps flying around or anything? I just open up the box, pull one of these out and go clean the bathroom?
Ben Gable: Exactly. Just grab and go. One thing a lot of people hear today is that green cleaners are the future and that’s what everyone’s coming out with. A lot of people asked us why we developed a ready-to-use version when ready-to-use would be considered by a lot of people not to be green because your adding water, you shipping on trucks, your using more expense, and more packaging. But the truth is, if you don’t offer a ready-to-use version, customers will still want a ready-to-use product. So instead of them grabbing formula 409 or chemicals that aren’t as environmentally friendly, we offer a ready-to-use green version of those chemicals.
Dan Dillon: So it’s "Green", meaning it’s environmentally responsible. It’s ready-to-clean, so I just open up the box, pull it out and spray. There’s no spills, no dilutions, there’s no charts to follow, there’s no explaining to employees. You just give your cleaning staff a bottle of this and they go clean.
Ben Gable: It’s a goof proof answer to green cleaning, just grab it and go.
Tom Cochran: Is there any rinsing involved?
Ben Gable: No, none of the ready-to-use green products require rinsing.
Dan Dillon: You don’t have to rinse these?
Ben Gable: No.
Dan Dillon: Not one of them?
Ben Gable: Not one of them.
Dan Dillon: You can spray and wipe with every single one of them?
Ben Gable: Spray and wipe and your done…Like I said we have a Glass Cleaner, Restroom Cleaner, an all Surface Cleaner, and a Heavy Duty Degreaser as well as a Peroxide Cleaner. The glass cleaner is used obviously on glass and as a multi surface cleaner for light duty soils. The restroom cleaner actually comes equipped with a foaming trigger as you can see here. It’s used to spray on vertical surfaces so it will cling to the surfaces.
Dan Dillon: Oh yeah, that’s cool. So this inducts what? air to make it foam?
Ben Gable: Yes.
Dan Dillon: Oh, very cool. Ok.
Ben Gable: The peroxide cleaner is a medium duty degreaser; it can be used on a variety of surfaces from glass all the way to kitchen cleaning.
Dan Dillon: Who would use this when we have an all purpose cleaner? And we have this Peroxide Power, can you tell us the difference?
Ben Gable: The peroxide is a more versatile cleaner it can be used on many different soils, it can be used for glass all the way to degreasing. The All Surface cleaner is more of a light duty cleaner you would want that in offices and school buildings. They all come in different fragrances and colors which really distinguish the product.
Dan Dillon: So I pick my preference, what I like. So if I have light cleaning duty and I clean a doctors office and the office isn’t on a dusty road, it’s a high cleanliness place, I then reach for something like this All Purpose Cleaner. Then if I got something a little bit dirtier like an industrial type setting, but then I still have to clean the desks and there’s let's say a warehouse application, that’s when I’m going to reach for the Peroxide Power. Because I need to cut a little more grease a little heavier duty soils, so I step it up a notch and go with this.
Ben Gable: You got it.
Thanks and Happy Cleaning!
